Day 3: God Is Faithful
By Keystone Church
Bible Reading
“Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.”
—(Deuteronomy 7:9)
God always keeps His Word. He has never—not even once—failed to do what He said He will do. From His promise to Noah, to His covenant to Abraham, to His rescue of the people of Israel, God proved Himself faithful time and again. Throughout the Old Testament, He said He would send the Messiah to rescue His people, and He did—through His Son, Jesus. Like goodness, faithfulness is an unchanging part of who God is. Because His covenant blessings are tied to “those who love Him and obey his commands,” we can step forward with joy, knowing our obedience is never wasted and His faithfulness is guaranteed.
Focus: God is always faithful, so we can trust His promises and obey His commands without fear.
Act: Think of two specific times in your life when God has been true to His promises. Share one of them with a friend or family member today as a testimony of His faithfulness.
Pray: God, You have always been faithful to Your people, and I believe You will continue to be faithful to me. Help me remember the ways You’ve kept Your promises in the past so I can obey you with confidence today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Confession
On a card or sticky note, write, God is faithful. Place this declaration where you’ll see it every day, and let it serve as an encouraging reminder to trust His promises.
